A595 to Gosforth, Turn left and left again at the mini roundabout, then through the village of Gosforth follow the road without deviating left or right, along the side of Wastwater. After passing the lake you will see a turning on the right signposted for "Wasdale Campsite and Lake Head Car Park". Take this turn, go over the bridge and carry out along the bridleway passed the no-entry sign. After you pass over the cattle grid, take the right turn signposted for "Wasdale Head Hall Farm". We are half a mile along this path.

Take the A595 towards Holmrook, just before entering the village, turn right, passed Irton Hall and then left at the T junction at Santon Bridge, then quickly right before passing The Bridge Inn, Then 1st right in Nether Wasdale (Just over bridge), right again after 100 yards, along the side of Wastwater.

After passing the lake you will see a turning on the right signposted for "Wasdale Campsite and Lake Head Car Park". Take this turn, go over the bridge and carry out along the bridleway passed the no-entry sign. After you pass over the cattle grid, take the right turn signposted for "Wasdale Head Hall Farm".
